Drowned out in the commotion of Deflate-gate, the Falcons' crowd noise controversy could soon be coming to a resolution.

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff told Pro Football Talk Live on Thursday that he expects the franchise will know soon what type of punishment it will face for pumping artificial crowd noise into the Georgia Dome.

Dimitroff told PFT Live he didn’t have an exact timetable for when the league would decide. He also said the football operations staff was not aware of what was going on, claiming it was a stadium operations issue.

Regardless of who was responsible, the team could feel the effects on the field.

Penalties could include the loss of draft picks, which wouldn't be welcome news for a Falcons team that finished 6-10 in 2014.
