The Arizona Cardinals are dipping into the collegiate ranks for their new cornerbacks coach.

A source told Sporting News that Charlie Harbison is set to leave the Univ. of Louisiana-Lafayette to join the Cardinals.

Harbison, 59, has been the co-defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach for the Ragin’ Cajuns since 2015.

Harbison brings 26 years of college coaching experience at both offensive and defensive positions to the Cardinals. He played one season for the Bills in 1982.

The Cardinals also have officially hired Kirby Wilson as their new running backs coach, a source told Sporting News. News of Arizona’s interest in Wilson was first reported by Sporting News.
