The Arizona Cardinals are 4-6-1 and a considerable longshot to make the playoffs, but as safety Tyrann Mathieu said after Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, the team is too talented to be under .500.
So what exactly is going on in Arizona? Coach Bruce Arians thinks some players on the roster are playing just to fill up the stat sheet instead of doing what's in the best interest of the team.

“That’s the selfishness instead of selflessness that has crept in," Arians said Monday, adding that it might be time to switch up playing time to get the desired results. “We’ve been talking about it for four weeks and the veterans obviously haven’t done anything about it, so maybe young guys will step up and make the opportunity they need."
Arizona still has the No. 1 total defense in the NFL and one of the top running backs in David Johnson, but Arians wants to see more of a collective fight from his team.
"Why we weren’t as physical as I thought we should’ve been is a question, because we did not hit last week, but we need to be more physical," he said.
