Antonio Brown tried to make amends with police in Hollywood, Fla., on Friday.

He posted an apology on Instagram to the Hollywood Police Department about three weeks after he shouted obscenities at officers who responded to a domestic dispute between Brown and the mother of his five children (Brown recorded the tirade on video), and a week after he surrendered on an arrest warrant stemming from a dispute with the driver of a moving truck.

Brown also made an indirect reference to the department returning a donation Brown made to the department's athletic league football program.

BROWN ARREST: What to know about charges, timeline

Brown is facing three charges after he and his trainer, Glenn Holt, allegedly assaulted the driver and threw rocks at the truck after refusing to pay a $4,000 charge to the driver for delivery of some of Brown's belongings from California. Brown was charged with felony burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief, per ESPN.com.

The former Steelers, Raiders and Patriots wide receiver is free on a $110,000 bond. He is being monitored with a GPS device. The felony charge carries a potential life sentence.
