Antonio Brown is arguably Western Pennsylvania's best-known athlete these days, but he plans to pay tribute to the man who might hold the all-time title this weekend.

The Steelers receiver said he will have an image of Arnold Palmer on the cleats he wears for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The pride of Latrobe, Pennsylvania., died last Sunday in Pittsburgh at age 87. Brown told ESPN.com he got to spend some time at Palmer's home this summer and cherishes the memory.

"A guy like Arnold, his legacy and what he meant not only to the world, but to Latrobe, to Pennsylvania, his legacy will live on," Brown said. "An inspiring guy. I'm glad I got a moment to share with him."

Brown made it clear that the Palmer shoes will be in Pittsburgh's black-and-gold color scheme. He fan afoul of the NFL's uniform police last week after coming out for the first half in mostly blue cleats that honored his children.

Brown said the NFL uniform inspector on site made him change the shoes at halftime; he played the second half in a pair with a white, black and gold color scheme.
