Halfway through his 14th NFL season, Andre Johnson has decided to call it quits.
The 35-year-old informed the Titans of his decision Monday morning, the team said. Tennessee's win over the Jaguars on Thursday night was the third consecutive game in which he failed to make a catch. He has nine receptions this season, two of them for touchdowns.

With that, the third overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft wraps up what could be a Hall of Fame career. He collected 1,062 receptions for 14,185 yards and 70 touchdowns over 12 seasons with the Texans, one with the Colts and this one with the Titans.
Johnson had seven 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his career and made the Pro Bowl seven times.
"Going back to his days at the University of Miami, Andre was one of the most impressive wide receivers I’ve scouted," Titans general manager Jon Robinson said in a release. "He had a professional approach to the game both on and off the field and in my opinion is one of the best to have played the game.

"I enjoyed getting to know and work with him in his time with our team. He certainly contributed to this team — making the game-winning catch at Detroit and his daily interaction with the young wide receivers. We wish him nothing but the best moving forward in whatever endeavors he chooses."
