In this case, Alabama and LSU must settle for a tie.

NFL Communications released details from the opening week rosters, and Alabama and LSU were tied with 39 players apiece. USC (37), Clemson (35), Florida (25) and Ohio State (34) held the next four spots.

It shouldn't come as surprise. In his book "4th and Goal Every Day: Alabama's Relentless Pursuit of Perfection," Phil Savage details a story from the 2007 LSU-Alabama game in which he watched the last remnants of Nick Saban's LSU teams take on his new creation at Alabama. The Tigers continued that with Les Miles and, now, Ed Orgeron.

The NFL Draft production since 2010 back that up. LSU has sent 50 players to the draft, including nine first-round picks. Alabama, meanwhile, has sent a whopping 61 players, including 21 first-round picks.

So it's no surprise the Crimson Tide and Tigers dominate this department.

Here's a full breakdown of the list, via NFL Communications.
