If Peterson returns, he comes back to a murky situation in Minnesota. There's been a lot of drama these past few months between Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, and Vikings' management.

Coach Mike Zimmer says the team has no plans to trade the 30-year-old running back, but the two sides don't appear to be getting along. Dogra reportedly rejected a meeting with Vikings general manager Rick Spielman a few weeks ago and he also had a reported "heated exchange" in February.

Peterson himself spoke out this offseason saying he was "still uneasy" about returning to the team, citing how it handled his situation last year.

Peterson played just one game last season. He was indicted after hitting his 4-year-old son with a switch. He was suspended without pay for the remainder of the season in November and remains on the commissioner’s exempt list, according to NFL.com.

His suspension has been through multiple appeal processes and in February a federal judge overturned the NFL's suspension. The NFL appealed that decision and Peterson still remains on the exempt list.
