Adrian Peterson continues to undergo parental counseling, even as he takes on Roger Goodell's authority to order players to therapy as a condition of reinstatement.

The Vikings' all-time leading rusher hopes to maintain joint custody of his 4-year-old son. Getting treatment is one of the requirements set forth by Goodell before Peterson can resume his NFL career.

According to pioneerpress.com, Peterson is allowed supervised visits with his son. He will go through parenting evaluations by social workers and a child psychologist.

Peterson and the NFL Players Association are fighting Goodell in federal court, arguing the commissioner is exceeding the limit of his authority under the collective bargaining agreement.

Goodell ordered Peterson to meet with Dr. April Kuchuk, a New York University instructor in the department of psychiatry.

Despite that, Peterson reportedly is pleased with the result therapy is having his relationship with his son.
