Aaron Rodgers will be able to join the Green Bay Packers in their offseason program, which will start earlier than usual this year.
Rodgers, who was nursing a knee injury since the 2018 opener, said he will not need surgery to repair what he classifies as a sprain.
The 35-year-old quarterback was sporting a knee brace until a November 4 matchup in New England.
During the season, Rodgers thought he might need surgery but said he decided to go "through a different routine".
"I feel great," Rodgers said on NFL Network. "My body feels really good. Instead of getting surgery postseason, decided to kind of go through a different routine with my knee than I've done in the past, and I'm feeling really, really good.
"[I] got a concussion the last game, that's cleared up. I'm feeling really good. I'm getting back into my workout routine, but the first month of the offseason is a lot about yoga and traveling."
The Packers will be able to start their offseason program as soon as April 1. It is two weeks earlier than previous years, because of the addition of new coach Matt LaFleur. Teams with returning head coaches are not allowed to start until April 15.
Rodgers finished the season with a 62.3 per cent completion rate, 4,442 passing yards and 25 touchdowns.
