Three Michigan State football players who were accused of sexual assault have violated university policy, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press.

The Free Press' Chris Solari reports that a Title IX investigation determined those three players violated that policy, according to an attorney who represents the victim. The players have yet to be named.

“They have not been expelled or dismissed from the school at this point because it has not gotten to that stage yet,” Lansing attorney Karen Truszkowski told the Free Press.

The first investigation began after an alleged rape occured on Jan. 16 at an off-campus apartment. The incident was reported to Michigan State police on Jan. 17. On Feb. 9, the school suspended three Michigan players and football staff member Curtis Blackwell while the university investigated a sexual assault complaint. Blackwell remains suspended without pay.

The Ingham County Prosecutor's Office also has a criminal investigation into the complaint, but no charges have been filed.

The Detroit Free Press reported Monday the Title IX investigation had concluded, but a spokesman said he could not discuss specifics of the investigation because of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio last addressed the media about the allegations on March 28 before the team’s spring game.

It’s been a rough offseason for the Spartans off the field. Defensive lineman Auston Robertson was suspended from the team April 21. Robertson faces a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, stemming from an April 9 incident, as reported by MLive.com.
