The Southeastern Conference maintained its first-round stranglehold on the NFL Draft with 12 such selections in 2017.

The SEC tied its own record from 2013 — and the ACC's 2006 record — getting started with Texas A&M's Myles Garrett going to the Cleveland Browns at No. 1 overall. He joined Auburn's Cam Newton (2011) and South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney (2014) as top picks from the conference since 2010.

Howard (Tampa Bay, No. 19).

Florida's Jarrad Davis (Detroit, No. 21), Missouri's Charles Harris (Miami, No. 22), Ole Miss' Evan Engram (New York Giants, No. 23), LSU's Tre'Davious White (Buffalo, No. 27) and Alabama's Reuben Foster (San Francisco, No. 31) rounded out that first-round haul.
