The primetime showdown between Michigan and Notre Dame salvages what should be a relatively quiet weekend for the Big Ten.
Cincinnati will look to go 2-for-2 against the conference in a road trip to Illinois. Northwestern will try to avoid a letdown against Syracuse. Navy and Indiana offers an interesting contrast of styles.
Not sold? Didn't think so. See you in Ann Arbor in primetime.

CONFERENCE RANKINGS: ACC | Big 12 | Pac-12 | SEC
RISING: Wisconsin. Turns out the Badgers aren't done playing power football just yet. Three running backs -- James White, Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement -- rushed for more than 100 yards against UMass. We won't learn much about Gary Andersen's team this week against Tennessee Tech -- wait until the following week at Arizona State -- but the Badgers have made it clear they will be a factor in the Leaders Division. Hey, they are the three-time defending Big Ten champions.
FALLING: Nebraska. The Cornhuskers piled up 530 yards, including 375 rushing yards, in Week 1. Problem is they allowed 602 total yards against Wyoming in a 37-34 win that proved way too close for comfort. That did nothing to answer questions about a defense that allowed 115 points in losses to Wisconsin and Georgia to end 2012. For the millionth time, this isn't the Big XII. Nebraska cannot win the Big Ten without defense.
BOTTOM LINE: Call it part of the "Urban Effect." Seven Big Ten teams scored 40 points or more in Week 1. Michigan (59), Wisconsin (45) and Ohio State (40) did their part on "MACrifice" weekend, but Indiana (73) and Minnesota (51) joined the fun. Neither the Hoosiers or Gophers will win their divisions, but both will throw a scare into at least one contender and perhaps pull a season-altering upset.
