Week 11 college football scores, highlights from Saturday's games image

The best week of college football this this side of the playoff is upon us. We've already seen one top 10 fall when ninth-ranked Washington fell to Stanford 30-22 Friday night. 

Today, there's not one, not two, but three top matchups, pitting top 10 teams against each other. First, at 3:30 p.m., No. 2 Georgia (9-0) takes on tenth-ranked Auburn (7-2) on the road. In the 8 p.m. block, No. 3 Notre Dame (8-1) travels to face seventh-ranked Miami (8-0) in the renewal of a classic matchup from yesteryear and fifth-ranked Oklahoma (8-1, 5-1) hosts No. 8 TCU (8-1, 5-1).

But, but wait there's more. There's also four games in which teams in the top 25 face each other. No. 1 Alabama faces No. 18 Mississippi State (7 p.m.). No. 12 Ohio State faces No. 13 Michigan State (noon). No 15 Oklahoma State battles No. 21 Iowa State (noon) .

12:05 — Travis Homer did work for Miami on Saturday.

11:13 — TCU hanging tough, got to give them that.

11:06 — Not necessarily a football highlight, but it's just too hot not to include:

11:00 — Do work, Nick Starkel.

10:54 — Alabama's game-winning touchdown, field-side.

9:45 — Threading the needle to get on the board!

9:42 — Rodney Anderson is a touchdown-scoring machine!

9:25 — Uh-oh. This is Mississippi State's third rushing touchdown of the game, the first time Alabama has ever allowed in the Nick Saban era. Mississippi State leads 21-17.

9:23 — Oklahoma's running away with this one on the back of Rodney Anderson.

9:20 — And it also made the score 20-10!

9:05 — That's a heck of a snag by Grant Calcaterra! Oklahoma up 17-7.

5:40 — Navy's Malcolm Perry goes 92 yards.

5:01 p.m. ET—Auburn gets the big one when quarterbak Jarrett Stidham links up with wide receiver Darius Slayton for a 42-yard touchdown. The Tigers lead the Bulldogs 16-7 with 4:09 to play before the half. 

4:11 p.m.—Oklahoma State scathed off upset with a big interception late in the fourth quarter on the road against Iowa State. 

 

 

3:52 p.m.—Georgia running back Nick Chubb takes the direct snap into the end zone from close range to get the Bulldogs ahead early against Auburn. 

 

 

3:36 p.m.—Could it be deja vu all over again. Iowa's Joshua Jackson, just like he did last week in its upset of Ohio State, starts the game with an interception return for a touchdown against undefeated Wisconsin. 

 

 

3:34 p.m.—Oklahoma State Mason Rudolph completes a 30-yard touchdown pass to Marcell Ateman against double coverage. The Cowboys added a 2-point converstion to tie Iowa State at 42-42 with 5:55 to play. 

 

 

3:14 p.m.—Yet another zany play from the South Carolina-Florida game. Check out how the Gamecocks, who lead 28-13 in the fourth quarter, picked up this first down. 

 

 

3:03 p.m.—This literally might be the only thing that has gone Michigan State's way today. 

 

 

3:00 p.m.—Iowa State has upset on its mind. Check the degree as wide receiver Allen Lazard hauls in his second touchdown pass of the game to give the Cyclones a 35-31 lead with 14:13 to play. 

 

 

2:22 p.m.—Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett is dropping dimes in Columbus and Michigan State just hold on, literally. 

 

 

1:56 p.m.-Penn State runnin back Charles Barkley took flight on Rutgers at the tail end of a trick play. 

 

 

1:38 p.m.—Ohio State running back Mike Weber went broke off an 82-yard run to give the Buckeyes 35-0 lead with 6:16 to go before the half against Michigan State 

 

 

1:24 p.m.—Indiana wide receiver Simmie Cobbs went up and got this one against Illinois. 

 

 

1:18 p.m.—This short touchdown pass from Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett to J.K. Dobbins put the Buckeyes up 28-0 with 9:21 to go...in the secong quarter. 

 

 

12:54 p.m.—Penn State quarterback opts to keep it himself and shows off his running ability on that touchdown carry to give the Nittany Lions a 7-6 lead against Rutgers. 

 

 

12:36 p.m.—Peep Iowa State running back David Montgomery's moves on this 22-yard that gave the Cyclones a 14-0 lead against Oklahoma State with 4:52 to go in the first. 

 

 

12:31 p.m.—This wack play against South Carolina personifies Florida's 3-5 season.

 

 

12:22 p.m. ET—South Carolina's Shi Smith came up with this sweet one-handed grab to set up the Gamecocks' first score. South Carolina leads Florida 7-0 with 11:30 to go in the first. 

 

 

12:21 p.m.—Ohio State's Mike Weber goes 47 yards up the middle for a score on the longest run Michigan State has given up all season, and the Buckeyes lead the Spartans 7-0. 

 

 

12:12 p.m.—Nothing to see here, it's just Minnesota's Rodney Smith taking the opening kickoff back 99 yards for a touchdown agaist Minnesota. 

 

12:07 p.m.—Texas Tech's Keke Coutee returns the opening kickoff 92 yards for a score against Bayor.
