COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nebraska’s Tommy Armstrong Jr. suffered an injury in the second quarter against Ohio State on Saturday.
On a third-and-7 from the 35-yard line, Armstrong scrambled 10 yards for a first down before getting hit out of bounds by Ohio State’s Malik Hooker. Armstrong appeared to hit his shoulder and head on the ground, and was down for several minutes while being attended to by trainers.

Ryker Fyfe replaced Armstrong with the Huskers trailing 24-3 with 6:03 left in the first half.
Armstrong was carted off the field and gave a thumbs up while fans chanted “Tommy!” and gave a round of applause.

Armstrong returned to the sideline under his own power in the third quarter.
