Two Tennessee football players were involved in an alleged sexual assault early Sunday morning. Jimmy Hyams, afternoon host on The Sports Animal (WNML AM-FM) in Knoxville, Tennessee, first reported the news.

According to multiple reports, linebacker A.J. Johnson is one of the players involved in the incident. Coach Butch Jones addressed the incident briefly at his weekly news conference Monday.

"We are in the process of gathering information," Jone said. "Once we have it all, we will act in a decisive manner."

According to a report from WBIR.com, Knoxville police responded to investigate rape and sexual assault allegations reported by two 19-year-old women around 3 a.m. on Sunday. One of the victims told police that two Tennessee students raped her. The other victim said she was sexually assaulted.

Jones refused to take questions on the incident.

Johnson has been in trouble before. The senior linebacker was arrested in February for buying alcohol for people under 21 and resisting arrest. A judge later dropped those charges as part of plea agreement.
