Former Michigan cornerback announces transfer to Auburn image

Former Michigan cornerback Blake Countess announced he’s transferring to Auburn on Tuesday.

Countess is a graduate transfer and is eligible to play right away. He had six interceptions in 2013 after missing most of the 2012 season with a knee injury suffered in the season opener against Alabama.

Countess’ transfer to Auburn continues an interesting back-and-forth between the Tigers and Wolverines. In April, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn voiced his displeasure with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh attending a satellite camp in Alabama.

On May 18, Auburn transfer Derrick Moncrief originally said he was blocked from going to Michigan, though a report later refuted that claim. Moncrief has not announced where he will transfer.
