San Diego State running back Donnel Pumphrey needs only 108 yards on Saturday to pass Wisconsin's Ron Dayne for the most career rushing yards in NCAA history.
Houston's No. 3 rush defense (97.9 yards per game) stands in Pumphrey's way in the Las Vegas Bowl, but he's getting plenty of support from fans and players across the nation, including from Marshawn Lynch.
Marshawn Lynch shook my hand just now & whispered in my ear "Go get that sh*t" talking about the record . #Blessed

Lynch was attending a kickoff luncheon on Friday at the Hard Rock Hotel before getting inducted into the Las Vegas Bowl Hall of Fame — along with broadcaster Brent Musburger and bowl founder Rob Dondero.
A former Cal running back, Lynch earned Las Vegas Bowl MVP honors in 2005, an accomplishment Pumphrey is aiming for, along with that rushing record.
