Miami coach Mark Richt isn't known for sideline tirades, but he had just such a moment in the first half of the Orange Bowl against Wisconsin on Saturday.

Richt, apparently angry at officials over a missed holding call, bumped an official during a timeout late in the second quarter and was penalized with a personal foul. Wisconsin converted that into a touchdown to take a 24-14 lead heading into halftime.

Richt was asked by ESPN sideline reporter Molly McGrath what happened, and he said, "If you watch the tape, you'll see." Richt was not ejected, but this controversial moment comes a day after Kentucky's Benny Snell was ejected from the Music City Bowl by an official for a similar encounter.

Following Miami's 34-24 loss, Richt apologized for his actions.

“I know I lost my cool. I thought rightfully so, as far as being mad, but not rightfully so using some of the language I used,” Richt said. “Not particularly proud of myself there. I apologize to anybody who can read lips.”
