Houston took a 17-0 lead on No. 5 Louisville on Thursday with the help of a fake punt and a tipped catch for a touchdown.
The Cougars led 10-0 in the second quarter and faced a fourth-and-13 from the 44-yard line when Houston coach Tom Herman rolled the dice with a well-designed fake punt. Punter Dane Roy threw a 15-yard pass to Byron Simpson for the first down.

Two plays later, Greg Ward Jr. threw a pass that bounced off Louisville’s Jaire Alexander into the arms of Cougars running back Duke Catalon for a 13-yard score. Houston led 17-0 with 12:18 left in the second quarter.
The Cardinals are in big trouble, especially with these breaks going the Cougars’ way.
