COLUMBUS, Ohio — Members of the Ohio State football team will be honored at the Reds' game against the Pirates in Cincinnati on Wednesday night.

Star running back Ezekiel Elliott, however, will be testing the fans. Elliott, who rushed for 817 yards and 10 TDs in Ohio State’s last four games, had some fun on Twitter on Tuesday.

Elliott, who played at John Burroughs High School in St. Louis, is staying true to his hometown. Perhaps Elliott should sit next to Ohio State cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs, who grew up and coached high school football in nearby Colerain.

“I can still tell you the lineup of the Big Red Machine, all right,” Coombs told reporters on Tuesday. “From Pete Rose, to Joe Morgan, to Ken Griffey, to Johnny Bench to Tony Perez. I grew up a Cincinnati Reds fan. I love the Cincinnati Reds. For me to be able to go back there and be on the field and hang out in that environment is phenomenal.”

Perhaps Coombs and Elliott can talk about this on the way down.
