So TIME.com publishes an article about Ohio State Ezekiel Elliott, the superstar of the first College Football Playoff.

"Let College Football Playoff Star Ezekiel Elliott Go Pro" reads the headline.

It states the argument that Elliott receives no money from all the money — and there was lots of it — that the playoff generated.

And it reminds us that as a sophomore and just two years removed from high school, Elliott is ineligible to move to the NFL where he can make a lot of money.

Maurice Clarett says Elliott should ignore that talk.

"Ignore all of this Zeke.... I'm speaking from experience," Clarett wrote on Instagram. "You can't beat the machine (NFL). Go to class and focus on getting better as a ball player. Rather anyone likes it or not the system isn't going to change. Too much money and too many lobbyist are involved. Deal with it and stay focused my man..!!!"

Clarett, the voice of reason?

Well, yeah. Who better to talk on the subject?

Clarett had a record-breaking freshman season at Ohio State as a running back that led to a BCS title in 2002. But after a series of off-field issues, Clarett was dismissed from Ohio State. He fought to be immediately eligible for the NFL Draft, but the courts ruled in favor of the three years out of high school rule.

Clarett was drafted in the third round of the 2005 draft by Denver, but reported to camp out of shape, was later released and never played a down in the NFL.
