Everett Golson nearly led Notre Dame to a win at Florida State in 2014.
Now, he might be the answer to the Seminoles' quarterback question for 2015. 247 Sports reports multiple sources see Florida State as the destination for Golson, who announced he was transferring from Notre Dame on May 7.

That would put Golson in position to compete with Sean Maguire to replace Jameis Winston as the Seminoles' starting quarterback in 2015.
“Barring a last-minute change of heart or any influence from elsewhere, (Florida State’s) where he’s headed,” a source told 247 Sports.
It might be the best fit for Golson considering Notre Dame didn't grant Golson a release to play for any school on the Irish's schedule this season. The SEC also has bylaws that prevent a player who has been subject to discipline from the previous institution from transferring to that school.

Golson led Notre Dame to a 12-0 record in the regular season and a spot in the BCS championship game in 2012. He was suspended for the 2013 season as a result of an academic violation.
Golson returned as the starter for the Irish in 2014. He passed for 3,445 yards and 29 TDs, but he also struggled with turnovers. Georgia and South Carolina also have been rumored as potential landing spots for Golson.
