Golson is a graduate transfer and eligible to play right away. He announced his transfer from Notre Dame on May 7 and graduated Sunday. Golson led Notre Dame to a 12-0 record in the regular season and a spot in the BCS championship game in 2012 (they lost to Alabama, 42-14). He was suspended for the 2013 season as a result of an academic violation.

Golson returned as the starter for the Irish in 2014. He passed for 3,445 yards and 29 TDs, but he also struggled with turnovers.

According to multiple reports, Golson visited Florida State and Florida last week. Georgia also has been rumored to be one of the potential landing spots.
