That’s the topic of conversation in this week’s installment of “Angry Bender,” who is wondering why we continue to devalue the idea of head-to-head competition as it pertains to the College Football Playoff.

Clemson beat Louisville, each team has one loss and the Tigers have control of their fate in the ACC Atlantic Division because of that win against the Cardinals. Yet the Cardinals appear to be getting more and more love in the polls.
We’ll address that. We’ll try to figure out why. We’ll seek out Carl Weathers and Alexander Hamilton for help. We’ll use other examples from history. We’ll try to make you see just how important head-to-head is, or at least how important it should be.
