In the 2012 November elections, Alabama coach Nick Saban received at least 300 write-in votes, including at least one for president.

On Tuesday, Crimson Tide receiver Amari Cooper may have joined Saban as an unknowing political candidate.

David Ikard posted what we assume is his ballot for the state of Alabama elections. He opted to not vote for either candidate on the ballot — Parker Griffith and Robert Bentley — and instead marked in Amari Cooper as his write-in candidate.

Hey, if you’re going to write in a candidate, Cooper is as popular as they come within state lines outside of Saban and Gus Malzahn. Cooper is a Heisman candidate and on pace to set most every significant receiving record in the Alabama books.

But this is one potential candidate unlikely to get any support.
