Southern player ejected after tackling opposing player by the neck

Things are tenuous between Southern and Texas Southern these days. Last week, the women's basketball teams for each school had to forfeit a game against each other after a massive brawl.

Now, the men's teams have got involved.

While Texas Southern's Malcolm Riley was on a fastbreak, Southern's Trelun Banks went for the hard foul and wound up tackling him by his neck.

Riley was so shaken up that he had to have a bandage around his head after medical staff tended to him.

Banks, who is the son of Southern's head coach Roman Banks, was issued a Flagrant 2 and ejected from the game.

Texas Southern went on to win the game, 62-58.
