Players and coaches openly weeped and locked arms in prayer while the player who collapsed was being tended as the mood in the arena shifted from trivial, an early-season non-conference game, to potentially tragic. According to Raleigh News & Observer reporter Stephen Wiseman, Solomon, a 5-10, 185-pound senior from Johns Island, SC, has been "stabilized" and SCSU coach Murray Garvin is with him. Bulldogs assistant Rio Pitt will lead the Bulldogs the rest of the way against N.C. State.

247Sports.com partner Pack Pride reported SCSU players voted to return to action and received a warm welcome as they ventured back onto the floor.

The Wolfpack led the Bulldogs 22-5 at the time the game was delayed. N.C. State point guard Markell Johnson appeard to suffer a minor knee injury when play was halted but returned to action. After more than 20 minutes, the game resumed at 1 p.m. ET.
