Williams scores 33 points to lead Clippers to fourth-straight win image

Lou Williams continued his electric scoring off the bench, pouring in 33 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 113-105 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

With their fourth-straight win and sixth from their past seven games, the Clippers have steadied the ship to sit just outside the playoffs in the competitive Western Conference.

Austin Rivers and Danilo Gallinari are still to come back into the lineup, roviding plenty of reaons for the Clippers to be optimistic about what lies ahead in 2018.

Blake Griffin added 21 points, six rebounds and eight assists on the night, while C.J Williams chipped in with 18 points and Milos Teodosic 13.


It was a game of runs, with the Clippers holding a 10-point lead in the third quarter, before the Grizzlies responded with a 22-5 run of thier own. LA then scored nine-straight points to take an 86-84 lead into the fourth.


 

With the Clippers extending their lead to 11 in the fourth, Memphis managed to chip away and bring themselves to within two points at 103-101, before Blake Griffin came up with some big plays down the stretch to ice the game.

Tyreke Evans led the way for the Grizzlies, with 18 points and six assists, while Mario Chalmers added 15 points off the bench.
