When the Oklahoma City Thunder needed a bucket, of course it was Russell Westbrook who dleivered.

2018 NBA All-Star Game: Reserves announced for Los Angeles

After the Nets went up 108-107 off a Spencer Dinwiddie layup with 7.8 seconds left, Westbrook returned the favour to put his team for good, with a driving layup of his own.

With the lead changing hands six times down the stretch, OKC tightened things up on both ends to overcome a 15-point second-half deficit to take the 109-108 win.

Westbrook finished with 32 points, while Paul George added 28 points and nine rebounds as OKC made it five wins in a row.

Earlier in the day, George's name was nowhere to be found when the Western Conference reserves for the All-Star team were announced, a decision Westbrook described as 'outrageous'.

"Unbelievable, I think it’s just outrageous in my opinion," Westbrook told reporters. "I don’t know who else made the team but four people from one team, you got guys complaining about getting snubbed until they get it, you got guys that are talking all the time but the guys that deserve it should be in.

"I just don’t understand, it doesn’t make any sense, the guy is leading the league in steals, competes every night, is top-two in his position, it doesn’t make any sense regardless of anything else. There are certain ‘All-Stars’ in this league, everyone is not an All-Star. Just because you get voted in doesn’t make you an All-Star. I think its outrageous but it is what it is."
