On Tuesday night, Simmons got the call from a friend to step in and play in a local competition in Greensborough, and he answered.
Simmons dropped a cool 34 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter as his team "Redbacks" walked away with a 72-52.
Simmons is in town to host his first basketball camp in Australia on Sunday, August 27.
The Sixers will open the NBA season on October 19 against the Washington Wizards.
