Number overall pick Ben Simmons has received the green light after visiting with his doctors Wednesday (AEDT).

Simmons who missed the entire 2016-17 season with a fractured foot took to social media to update fans on his status heading into the offseason.


"I got my scan today, green check," Simmons said in a video via Uninterrupted. " I'm looking forward to getting back on the court and I'm looking forward to a big season with the Sixers."

The Aussie missed the entire season, but is keen to get back on the court for the 2017-18 season.

The Sixers will conclude their fifth straight losing season against the New York Knicks on Thursday.
