When Joe Ingles signed his four-year 52 million dollar contract to stay as a member of the Utah Jazz, it was as much about the community as it was the money.

Ingles has become a fan-favourite in the Utah community and has garnered the respect of his teammates.
While his play on the court continues to flourish for a Jazz team that has now won eight in a row following a 116-88 blowout win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday (AEDT), his work off the court needs the recognition as well.
Last year, Ingles donated $10,000 to the Carter family, so that their seven-year-old son Landon who is legally blind could purchase a pair of eSightEyewear glasses. With the glasses, Landon is now able to watch and follow his Jazz.
Ingles met with Landon and his family pregame and spoke about why he helped out the Carter family after the game in the post-match interview.
"It was meant to be personal that," a humbled Ingles told AT&T Sportsnet." Once you have your own kids you realize not everything is about you.
"In the position that I'm in now to able to help him is something that I'd do again.

"It was the first game that he got to come to tonight and I got to hang out with him for a minute. It was great to see how happy he is."
Ingles finished the game with 17 points, three rebounds and a well-deserved hug from one of his biggest fans.
