What is Tyrese Maxey's injury?

In the first half of a game against the Bucks on Friday, Nov. 18, Maxey landed awkwardly on his left foot while being fouled in transition.

In visible pain, Maxey hobbled his way to the free throw line to shoot a pair before heading to the locker room for further evaluation.

Maxey did not return to the game, and although his X-rays came back negative on Friday, his MRI on Saturday, Nov. 19 revealed a small fracture in his left foot.

Prior to the injury, Maxey was enjoying a breakout season with averages of 22.9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.
