Earlier in the season, the Pistons were amid one of the longest losing streaks in NBA history.

Detroit became appointment television for all the wrong reasons as it neared the NBA's all-time record for consecutive losses. It had dropped 27 games in a row, one shy of tying the worst mark in NBA history.

With a share of the infamous record on the line, the Pistons faced the Celtics in Boston, who had the best record in the NBA. And even playing in a playoff-like atmosphere with Celtics faithful well aware of what was at stake, Detroit somehow built a 19-point lead at the half.

That's when Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma rattled off a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that has resurfaced plenty of times this season and aged so, so poorly.

Boston mounted a second-half comeback to beat the Pistons, dropping Detroit to a record-tying 28th consecutive loss. The Pistons would beat the Raptors in their next game to prevent owning the all-time worst losing streak, but that's beside the point.

At the time, the Pistons owned a lowly 2-29 record, but Kuzma's Wizards weren't much better at 5-25.

Since his tone-deaf post, Detroit (10-24) has actually had a better record than Washington (6-29).

And if Kuzma hasn't gotten dragged on social media enough for it, Rockets forward Tari Eason mocked the post mid-game as Houston and Washington faced off Thursday.

Eason is out for the season after receiving surgery on his leg, so he wasn't active for the contest. He also was not present on the bench, so he had his phone handy, ready to troll, as he watched his team face off against Kuzma.

The Rockets led the Wizards by 19 points at the half, so Eason's joke feels safe for now.

Washington just recently snapped a 16-game losing streak and is one of two teams, along with the Spurs, to already be eliminated from playoff contention.

Let that serve as a reminder to be careful what you post. It might (immediately) come back to haunt you.
