Steve Nash, an honorable Canadian, is hardcore. That, or he's just a smart dude who keeps up to date on Twitter.

The Lakers guard was tweeting tongue-in-cheek about Champions League soccer of all things, which set a troll to respond with very NSFW language.

Nash came with what might be the best tweet from an athlete of the new year:

I'm not sure which is more impressive. The fact that Nash has the courage to respond with such snark or the fact that has full awareness of a dumb basketball Twitter meme.

For the unfamiliar, the phrase "Meet me in Temecula" was popularized in December after popular NBA tweeter Snottie Drippen told a Kobe Bryant fan that the Lakers star, well, sucked. That enraged the fan, and through a series of tweets, Snottie Drippen was able to trick him into coming to Temecula, about 90 minutes from LA, to fight one-on-one.

Kudos to Nash for responding with aplomb given the context. Shoutout to sports fans on the Internet being total morons.
