Stephon Marbury hasn’t played in the NBA since 2009, but he’s made quite the name for himself in China since he started his career with the Beijing Ducks in 2010.

On Monday, a 3,230-square-foot museum dedicated to Marbury's life and basketball career, aptly named “The House of Marbury,” opened to the public in Beijing.

"Today was one of the best days of my life in opening my own museum The House OF Marbury," the 38-year-old guard said on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site similar to Twitter. “I couldn't have dreamed this dream for myself although God has created another miracle in this life for me. Without my teammates, coaches and fans from Beijing this wouldn't be possible.”

According to China.org, six different Marbury jerseys are on display, including versions from the Timberwolves, Nets, Knicks and Beijing Ducks, who Marbury has led to three Chinese Basketball Association championships in the last four seasons. In last year’s finals, Marbury averaged 29.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2 steals over the best-of-seven series, which Beijing won 4-2. He was named MVP.

“My Beijing jersey means more to me than any of them,” Marbury said, via China.org. “I don't see that because of the championship, but just because I'm here at home and I've had a support system.”

In addition to his museum, Marbury already has a statue outside of the Ducks’ home arena and has been approved for permanent residence in China, according to ChinaDaily.com.
