Less than a week after suffering what looked to be a potentially season-ending knee injury, Stephen Curry appears to be making progress toward returning in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
Curry told reporters he’s optimistic he’ll be able to return to the court ahead of the two-week time frame announced for him by team doctors after he sprained an MCL on Sunday in Game 4 against the Rockets, according to CSN Bay Area.

Despite his optimism, Curry isn’t ready for shooting drills just yet. He's receiving treatment three times a day.
Warriors general manager Bob Myers told reporters Monday the two-week timeline announced by the team was simply an “educated guess,” adding it could be sooner or later.
The Warriors didn’t really need Curry against Houston, as they finished with a blowout win in Game 4 and another easy win in Game 5 on Wednesday to advance to the second round. They await the winner of the Trail Blazers-Clippers series.
