We've gotten used to seeing Stephen Curry drain shots from long range, but normally not quite like this.
The Warriors superstar swapped the hardwood for the golf course this weekend to compete in the annual American Century Championship in Stateline, Nevada. The event features dozens of celebrities each year, with Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Charles Barkley, Canelo Alvarez and Jay Bilas among the many big names headlining the field in 2023.

During the second round, Curry held the tournament lead as he stepped up to the tee at the 7th hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course — a 152-yard par three. He flushed an iron right at the flagstick. It bounced once, then twice on the green before spinning perfectly back into the cup for a hole-in-one.

A jubilant Curry immediately took off, sprinting towards the green with his arms raised. He ripped off his hat and his glove, throwing both in the air. When he finally reached the green, he ran around the edge, taking in the cheers of the surrounding gallery.
According to NBC Sports, it marks the first-ever ace on the 7th hole in the American Century Championship.
It moved Curry to three-under-par for the day and six-under-par for the weekend. He remains the tournament leader in the modified stableford scoring system being used. You can check out the full leaderboard here.
The Golden State legend is an avid golfer and has played the sport since he was just 10 years old. In 2017, he competed alongside professional players at the Ellie Mae Classic — a Korn Ferry Tour event in Hayward, Cali. Although he missed the cut at eight-over-par, he still finished higher than four other players in the field.
Curry told NBC Sports after the ace on Saturday that it was the second hole-in-one of his golfing career.

He also drained a spectacular putt just one day earlier, sinking it from across the green despite a huge ridge forcing him to play a ton of break.
