Spurs' 'Big Four' all are out against Timberwolves image

The San Antonio Spurs will show up in Minnesota on Tuesday night, but they’ll be missing a lot of familiar faces.

Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and coach Gregg Popovich will all be out when the Spurs play the Timberwolves, the team announced

Parker’s absence may be most alarming for the Spurs. The veteran point guard suffered a sprained toe on his left foot against the Pacers. He left in the second quarter and did not return. 

Popovich opted not to join the team on its two-game road trip due to an undisclosed family medical situation. He wasn't on the bench Monday as the Spurs lost to the Indiana Pacers on the road, but is expected to return to the team later this week.

Ginobili and Duncan are sitting out to rest, which has become the norm for the aging Spurs stars down the stretch the last couple of years to reduce wear and tear.

Luckily, they are playing the Timberwolves.
