That means that even if the Sixers lose their final four games, they’ll finish 10-72, which is one game better than their 1972-73 counterparts.
Those Sixers went 9-73, the worst record in NBA history during an 82-game season. The 2011-2012 Charlotte Bobcats went 7-59 during a lockout-shortened season.
Carl Landry led the way for Philadelphia with 22 points off the bench Tuesday.
But Philadelphia fans shouldn’t worry about this team being forgotten. Earlier this year, the team set a new record with a 28-game losing streak spanning both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
Philadelphia started the season 0-18, tying the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets for the worst start in NBA history.
