The Spurs' bench combined for 67 points, with Tony Parker leading the charge, going off for a game-high 23 points in 25 minutes.

Davis Bertans added 17 points off the bench, while Danny Green chipped in 14.

It was a much-needed win for the Spurs, who had lost eight of their past 10 games, sliding down from third in the West to sixth heading into today's game. The victory leapfrogged them above the Minnesota Timberwolves into fifth place.

Memphis had all the momentum heading into the fourth quarter leading 72-70, but Parker broke the game open, scoring eight consecutive points to put the Spurs up 93-87 with 4:01 remaining.

The Spurs face a tough stretch in the coming days, with their next three games against the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.

LaMarcus Aldridge returned to the lineup today after hurting his ankle in the first half against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday, forcing him to miss the next game against the Los Angeles Lakers. They will need him at full strength as they look to test themselves against the Western Conference elite through thier next three games.

For the Grizzlies, Marc Gasol led the way with 24 points and 10 rebouds, while rookie Dillon Brooks finished with 21 points.
