Russell Westbrook was the best part of the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. You cannot disprove this.

First, the Thunder guard set a record for most points scored in the opening half. Then, on a breakaway, Westbrook jumped so high on an alley oop dunk that he hit his head on the bottom of the backboard.

Seriously:

The All-Star Game is a boring affair, where professionally trained athletes playing against no defense do amazing things. Yes, there's some entertainment value to it. But if you're someone who watches too much NBA already, like your dear correspondent, the pure entertainment factor is close to zero.

Westbrook -- the NBA's greatest foil -- at least gave the game some life.

This is the night I came to love Russell Westbrook. God, save me.
