Joel Embiid and The Philadelphia Sixers have reportedly agreed on a five-year $148-million rookie extension.

The deal was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and is the maximum he could've signed for.

The deal could reach up to $178 million if he meets certain criteria, but Philadelphia fans are just hopeful the 23-year-old remains healthy.

Embiid has only played in 31 games in his NBA career, but when healthy averaged 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in only 25.4 minutes.

The 2014 first-round Draft picks, which Embiid is apart of, have a deadline of October 17 (AEDT) to sign an extension.

Otherwise, they would have to become a restricted free agent next off-season.
