It's been a nightmare start to the season for the New Orleans Pelicans. Over the weekend they got the latest chunk of bad news losing Lance Stephenson to a groin injury .

The Vertical's Sham Charania reported on Monday that the Pels will waive Stephenson, and replace him with 6'5 guard Archie Goodwin.

Goodwin last played for the Pheonix Suns in 2015/16, appearing in 57 games. He averaged 8.9 points and 2.1 assists per game.
Goodwin, 22 is expected to join New Orleans before their next game against Golden State.
