LeBron James is back!

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, LeBron will make his return to the court when the Lakers face the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

The 36-year-old will not be playing with a hard minutes restriction, according to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel. "He felt coming off this trip it's time to get him back in the lineup," Vogel said. "We're excited to have him back!"

James has been sidelined since March 20 with a high ankle sprain. He had appeared in 40 of a possible 41 games prior to the injury, averaging 25.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.1 steals on 51.3 percent shooting from the field.

The Lakers have struggled without James, going 8-12.

Los Angeles enters Friday with a 36-26 record on the season, sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. The Lakers currently trail the Denver Nuggets in fourth place by 4.5 games and lead the Dallas Mavericks in sixth place by one game.

The Lakers are starting to return to full strength, with Anthony Davis recently returning from an injury himself.
