REPORT: Larry Sanders and Cavs in serious discussions image

The Cleveland Cavaliers were trying to sure up their front-line when they made the deal to acquire Andrew Bogut, but the big man unfortunately had his season end too soon.

With the news that Bogut was out for the season, the Cavs were once again in the market for another big and they may have found one.

Shams Charania of the Vertical is reporting that former NBAer Larry Sanders and Cleveland are in serious talks to strike a deal.


Sanders has not played in the NBA since the 14-15 season where he walked away from the Milwaukee Bucks appearing in just 27 games.

The two sides decided on a buyout of his four-year, $44 million (USD) contract in Feb, 2015. Saunders was set to collect $1.9 million each year through 2022.

The 28 year-old averaged 6.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game for his career.
