Report: Cavs would consider moving Tristan Thompson in possible DeAndre Jordan trade image

The Cleveland Cavaliers still haven't seen what their entire 2017-18 roster is capable of, but that hasn't stopped them from exploring the trade market.

Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon is reporting that the Cavs would consider sending Tristan Thompson to the Los Angeles Clippers for center DeAndre Jordan.

News of Jordan being on the trading block broke earlier this week with the Clippers reportedly discussing the potiential of moving Jordan with multiple teams.

Jordan, 29, has a player option at the end of this season that would make him a free agent.

17 games into the season, Jordan is averaging 10.4 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for the Clippers.

Thompson has been out with a left calf strain since early November but his number have been down across the board from a season ago.

If the Cavs decide to pull the trigger they'll essentially be saying that their roster isn't good enough to get back to the Finals and have a chance at beating whom ever comes out of the West.

With the potiential of losing LeBron James in the off-season always in the back of the Cavaliers front office mind, it will be interesting to see how aggresive Cleveland is in the trade market.
