Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James on the same team? It could happen.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks have reportedly discussed a trade involving Kevin Love that would bring Anthony to Cleveland, according to the New York Daily News.

The talks haven’t progressed, reportedly, but that could change before the Feb. 18 trade deadline. Anthony talked about the opportunity to play with another great player.
“I think everybody kind of dreams and hopes that they can play with another great player, another star player. It's a star player's league,” Anthony said during All-Star media day in Toronto. “I think that's what we talk about when we all get together — 'I want to play with you, I want to play with you.' Even here different guys say, 'Come play with me, come play with me.' So that's always the mindset.”
Any trade would have to cleared by Anthony, who has a no-trade clause in his contract.
He’s said in the past that he would prefer not to leave New York, but the Knicks are currently 22-32, and are likely to miss the playoffs for the third-straight season. The Cavaliers, however, are atop the Eastern Conference and wouldn't have to heavily feature Anthony to stay there.
“But I think everybody that's in my situation, they all want the load off especially the older they get," Anthony said. "Because you realize you just can't do it all by yourself. Everybody knows that.”
