Report: Bulls' Mirotic willing to pass on veto and accept trade image

For those that didn't know Nikola Mirotic has a no-trade clause in his contract with the Chicago Bulls.

On Thursday (AEDT) K.C Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported that Mirotic would like to stay in Chicago despite the tension between him and teammate Bobby Portis.

Portis and Mirotic got into a physical altercation ahead of their season-opening game against the Toronto Raptors last week, which led to Portis punching and fracturing Mirotic's face.

While Portis serves an eight-game suspension and Mirotic recovers from a concussion and facial fractures the Bulls have been faced with the possible lockerroom issues that would present itself once both those guys get back to the roster.

They may not have to anymore as Johnson reported new developments on Friday that Mirotic would wave his no-trade kicker.

The only issue now is the Bulls can't trade him till January 19th (AEDT).

Mirotic re-signed as a restricted free-agent this past off-season which prevents him from being moved until the new year.

Head coach Fred Hoiberg and his staff will have an interesting time trying to keep the lockerroom in check should both Portis and Mirotic return to the lineup before one is moved.
